Blessings Boxes

Each week, we collect food and take it to the Blessing Boxes. Please be in prayer about how you want to support this ministry. You can bring food, help distribute food, give funds so food can be bought, and everyone can pray for those receiving support through the Blessing Boxes. We will have a container to collect canned goods and dry goods in the Narthex every week.

Please make sure all donations are non-perishable and within their expiration date.

Bright Bridge Ministries

Each quarter we assist Bright Bridge Ministries prepare and serve their midday meal.  Bright Bridge ministers to vulnerable and under-resourced residents: homeless individuals and families, children living in poverty, US veterans, mentally ill, substance abusers, and others in need.

Voices of Aging

Beginning on September 4th, David McLean and Kathy Lindsey will be facilitating a study of Missy Buchanan’s book, Voices of Aging – Adult Children and Aging Parents Talk to God.  They’ll meet each Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  The study will last five weeks and conclude October 2nd.

The study addresses the joys and challenge of aging including its impact on relationships, health, finances, dignity and boundaries.  These topics, and others, are presented as a series of 20 coversations between parents and adult childrem.  Even if your parent or adult child is unable to attend, you’ll find the study helpful.  All are welcome!

Caring Connections

We are excited to announce the launch of a new ministry outreach at Magnolia United Methodist Church called Caring Connections.
This inclusive play group is designed specifically for special needs children and their caregivers. Each month, families are invited to join us for a fun-filled afternoon of open play, music time, and engaging crafts.
Caregivers will also have the opportunity to enjoy some much-needed respite time with refreshments and fellowship.
Caring Connections aims to provide a supportive and welcoming environment where all families can come together to connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships. We look forward to welcoming you to our community and creating meaningful connections through this special program.
The first meeting will be October 8, 2024 from 2-4 p.m.
